028 : Canal Fest

Last weekend, Larry and Boo's Emporium, the business my mom and I own, had a craft show. This was our first time at this event, Canal Fest. The festival featured two stages for music, lots of food, crafters, and a kids area. It was located near the Mustill Store on the towpath.

The idea of the festival was great, but the crowd was TINY. Even so, the small crowd was definitely made of shoppers, and we did pretty well. At about 4p, a storm hit that cleared out the entire festival, knocked down stages, washed away tents. We were fine, but some of our neighbors ended up soaked. The storm caused everything to shut down and we went home an hour and a half early. Despite the storm, it was a really fun event that I think we'll do again next year.

Also, there was MUSIC! I took some quick, Instagram videos of a couple of the musicians I heard and really enjoyed.

  1. Sounds like a good time (and some successful business) despite the storm! I'm so glad you guys were safe! Those owls are ADORABLE... I still cherish the monster you made me and sleep with it every night :)

    1. For me, yes! I enjoy the festival part of craft shows the most. For mom, also yes, because $$$$!! I might get back to making fancy monsters again...but yours is always going to be one-of-a-kind!
