091 : Town Hall Review : Cleveland, OH

Monday, I had a first date and I suggested Town Hall in Ohio City, a neighborhood in Cleveland. I chose the place based on location and the website, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the food was better. Our server was really cool and he informed us that the restaurant was new and also that everyone there were, like, certified beerologists or something. Basically, they know their beer and liquor too. I'm a beer lover, so that prompted me to trust his suggestions and try the stout he suggested. All of the food I had was super AMAZING, and I would definitely return!

Founder's Breakfast Stout (Awesome)

I had a grilled cheese and tomato bisque and he had the Kobe beef burger with truffle fries. The grilled cheese and bisque were REALLY GOOD! The burger was good too (I didn't taste it), we both felt a little meh on the fries. I don't like shoe string fries and don't need the truffle whatever.

He had a vanilla lemonade after dinner...it was really yummy. It had something alcoholic in it, so it was an "adult" beverage, but it wasn't strong, just delicious.

My fave part of the night : Salted Pistachio Milkshake with BACON!!! It was SOOOOOOOOOOO good! It was good enough to return for the milkshake alone. The milkshake did have bourbon in it, which made it have the bit of a hot tinge, like a mudslide. The pistachios weren't totally ground up, so there were bits of them in the texture of the shake. The bacon was AMAZING! I dipped the bacon in the shake, so I got this creamy sweetness with savory bacon taste. So yummy! (I love this bacon trend. It's awesome.)

Way later, after geocaching, we went to Sweet Moses. Mostly, I was thirsty, but I can't pass up yummy ice cream! Sweet Moses is an old-fashioned ice cream place (think soda jerks) in the Gordon Square Arts District of Cleveland.

I had banana's foster ice cream, and it was really good!

  1. Okay, first off, this place looks amazing. Right up my alley. That grilled cheese and tomato bisque looks seriously orgasmic.

Secondly, Founder's is a brewery in my Michigan college town of Grand Rapids. Awesome.

Third, I NEED TO HEAR MORE ABOUT THIS DATE!
