Goal Setting : Just Ugh

Soooo...not currently doing 365 days of running. I had switched it to movement because I wasn't running and then this weekend, it just all fell apart. I'm thinking of trying again in April. I have stuck to not eating sweets, and it's been hard, but it feels good and right. The thing is, things just have to click for me. The 365 days of running didn't click for me, and maybe it won't. Maybe I'm forcing it. I've also not bothered to check on any of my other resolutions and have not written all the blog posts for which I have ideas. But my hours for the rest of March and for April will be fewer, so I'm hoping I can really focus on getting some things done. Right now, it just seems like all I do is work and then want to sleep and have very little time for other stuff, which I tend to give to friends before myself.

I need to get it together! Oh, but I did open a facebook page for my photography, so there's that. Meh.

  1. You'll get there. Lots of stress completely derails motivation.

    1. Thanks! That's a good point. I gotta be easy on myself sometimes.

  2. Don't be discouraged. Life happens. It's tricky finding that balance between not stressing yourself out and making sure that you are sticking to your goals. And I certainly don't know whether or not you should force yourself to do things: of course, there are times when I'm glad I did force myself into something. I guess only you can have that answer depending on what it is you want to accomplish for yourself. -Jess L

    1. I would probably agree with this more if I were running more than one day a week! I think I just have a massive list of things to do and I really need to focus on accomplishing those things. It's like my mom said above, I need to find balance before I can really find motivation. But I spent a lot of time today checking things off my to do list, so I know that I will get there!

  3. If Ohio wasn't so far away! I'd go running with you. One needs an accountability buddy

    1. That's a really good point. I have some ideas for what I want to do in April. I want to try something different, something I can stick to. I'm thinking of doing something new every thirty days!
