Goal Setting : Running Goals

I haven't been running for a bit now. Last time I ran on the street, my feet hurt, because I need new shoes. I went for a hike today and even running down some hills was painful on my feet. I need new shoes. On top of that, I just haven't been feeling...much of anything. There is a lot of stuff in my life, to be completely vague, and it's greatly affected my mood. I know people say like, "Just get out there and you'll feel better!" That's a really nice sentiment, it is. But nothing feels better if you don't even feel anything.

Anyway, I still have running goals, even if I'm not currently working toward them. I'm not giving up, just letting things be for now. I've decided that I'd like to run two half marathons or one full and one half marathon every year. So I recently did some research and found a bunch of races in Ohio and also made a list of some races in cities where I'd like to run. I'm hoping to stick with this list and continue running for several years to come.

  1. I don't like running but if I was going to pick out places to do it, some of those would be at the top of my list! Especially NYC and Chicago.
