I was tagged in a fun quiz!!

I almost made the title (stupid) quiz, because usually these quizzes whizz around Facebook and who cares? But actually, I do think these things are fun and almost always did them but I have NEVER been tagged before! When I started reading Jessica's Post, I thought, "Please let me be tagged at the end," and I was! So yes, excited!

01//if you could live any place in the world, where would it be?
-->NORWAY!!!! I would emigrate in a second! I regularly check their immigration laws and often consider going to college there (it's free), but I'd have to learn Norwegian and it's expensive and also, I don't have a current passport. But no, really, I see myself living in Norway all the time.

02//what do you miss most about being a kid?
-->Not much, really. My childhood was hard. But I guess I miss not knowing how hopeless I would feel later in life. Things, even though they were hard, still seemed very hopeful.

03//who or what inspires you?
-->Various people inspire my photography, most especially my friend, Kendra, who has modeled for me over the decade we've known each other. My friend, Kinsey, really inspires my attitude...she is such a positive person and is always amazing me with her successes in life. My friend, Megan, is an inspiration as a working artist. Also, the boy, inspires me daily in so many ways that I didn't know were possible. And finally, nature, specifically,'s so green and cold and warm and changing here!

04//where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
-->Fuck if I know! Ten years seems like a million years. I have dreams but not goals.

05//your 50th birthday party- who's invited?
-->No one? Maybe everyone? I don't know. I can't see that far in the future.

06//what are your strengths?
-->Honesty, loyalty, sincerity, dedication, courage, strength

07//what are things you want to improve on?
-->Mostly, I think nothing. I mean, I recognize my mistakes and try not to repeat them, but I also really like myself as a person. I suppose I wish I managed my moods better and was consistent in my personal goals in terms of "fitness"...because sometimes I go through periods when life just feels too hard to also fit in yoga or bicycling or running and then I really miss it a lot. But I recognize that life is just hard sometimes, and I try not to add to that by beating myself up.

08//places you've traveled to?
-->Germany, Norway, Belgium, England, Canada, Mexico...New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, D.C., New York, Penna, W. Virginia, Virginia, the Carolinas, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California, Hawai'i...many, many cities and towns and villages and parks and museums and book stores!!!

09//what is a routine you could never do without?
-->Sadly, I think I often do without.

10//what was an act of kindness shown towards you that caught you by surprise?
-->On more than one occasion, a relatively large sum of money has been given to me by a new friend or near stranger in a time when I most needed it. No strings attached.

11//list some of the best times in your life in less than one minute. ready...go! (don't cheat!)
-->Cedar Point, that first date, Hinckley, meeting Internet friends, Put-in-Bay, Death Valley, Roadtripping with Louann and with Bryan and with Mindy, swing dancing, those first days in Buffalo before everything went bad, nights on the couch watching tv with you, 12-hour shifts and long texting conversations, engagement shoots and weddings and photography shoots that were awesome, wandering around O'ahu taking photos, geocaching, going out in the park with Bella, meeting Kelly at Old Navy, late night conversations, sunrises, sunsets, The Great Basin, that bus trip down Route 10, Europe, clicking with Kinsey right from the start, the way your skin feels against mine, Niagara Falls times eight hundred million because Canada is awesome, my first geocache, Huntsville, that marathon, KFC, that bathroom in Norway, Iowa City, Omaha, Chicago, D.C....

So, there are rules?

rules-- link back to the blogger that nominated you; answer the 11 questions requested by the nominator; choose 11 nominees (if you can or want to?) with small followings (from as small as 200 or 2000), you cannot nominated the person who nominated you; you must let the bloggers know they were nominated.

But fuck that! I tag everyone on my sidebar (Steph, Amanda, Margaret, Van, Bowsprite, Kristie, Ashley, Victoria, Charisma, also HEATHER [first post to return to blogging???]), and I'll let you know about that whenever I post this. Do what you want! But here are my questions:

  • 01. Where are you from?
  • 02. If you could travel anywhere in the world (and money was no object), where would you go and what would you do?
  • 03. Most embarrassing memory? (Or some other memory if you don't want to get all truth and dare on your blog!)
  • 04. A dream you have that will (probably) never come true. (aka a fantasy)
  • 05. Something you've always wanted to do but have never tried because of lack of funds or ability or fear or whatever.
  • 06. If you could have any other job, what would it be? If you wouldn't change your career, why do you love your current one so much?
  • 07. Tell us about your favorite person in the world.
  • 08. What do you think is missing from your life?
  • 09. What was your elementary school like?
  • 10. Top five fave songs. (Because we all need new music in our lives!)
  • 11. What is your saddest memory? (If you don't want to do that, tell us about your happiest memory!)

    1. Thanks! Wish I could take credit for the idea.

  2. I would love to go to Norway too! I recently traveled to Iceland, and met a couple who were heading back to the US after a trip to Norway. They said it was the most beautiful, awesome place ever. My family is from Sweden, so I'd want to stop there too :)

    1. I have to agree that Norway is AMAZING! It felt like home to me, even moreso than England did...even though I have no Norwegian in me at all. I just loved it there so much!
