Bad Advice

I saw these words on the Twitters not too long ago and have since seen them repeated in a magazine (advice given to Jessica Alba, supposedly), on Pinterest, and on Instagram. This is the sort of bullshit that I see bloggers trying to sell to the hordes lining up to buy their shitty e-books and over-priced workshops. This is "faux" advice or outright bad advice, making a claim that seems legit but doesn't stand up to common sense. This shit bugs me because it does nothing to help or improve anyone's life, but it's spread all around the internet like it's words of wisdom from Ghandi or something!

It also ignores that fact that some people are always the smartest person in the room. But honestly, what does that have to do with anything anyway? What if you're super smart but your team is super creative, super honest, super hardworking? Heaven forbid we allow people to have different strengths.
