Recent Work : Noalie Wedding (Film)

A couple of friends of mine recently married and I brought a roll of film and an iPhone to collect some pictures. We did a quick, mini portrait session by the lake, just so they had some nice portraits...'cause they were going with "whatever friends capture" as their photography option. I'm not sure why, but the camera I was using (Yashica rangefinder) seemed to have a light leak. Instead of detracting from the photos, I think it made them more interesting. I also liked the grain in the low light.

The focusing with this camera is really easy and I had a good time with it. I might keep it. I'm not sure, because I have another 35mm camera that I shot a roll with. I'll post those next week. I've just been wanting to get away from ALL THE DIGITAL and back to film and taking fewer pictures and just enjoying what I shoot. So I didn't do much candid photography with this roll.

Here's a small collection of the photos I shot. You can click through to the Flickr set to see everything. If you attended the wedding, you can also download from that set!

P.S. Coolest "white dress" ever? I think so!

  1. These are beautiful, and the light leaks really add!

    1. Thanks! I like them too...I'm just not sure if it's because of the camera or if I exposed the films somehow!
